Your First Visit to RE:NINE: Consultation, Treatment, and Travel Planning
Not sure what to ask before your first visit? Prepare your concerns, treatment history, and travel dates before choosing a procedure or arranging your appointment.

Welcome to RE:NINE Clinic.
After finding a clinic, the next questions are practical: Where do I book? Do I need to choose a treatment first? How should a visit fit into my trip? Start by preparing the questions you want answered, rather than committing to a procedure name.
Include your concerns and dates when you enquire
Describe the area that concerns you and the change you hope for in a sentence or two. You can mention a treatment that interests you without deciding in advance that it is the only option.
Share your preferred visit date, length of stay, departure date, and any important plans or photo sessions. Ask whether your preferred consultation language is available at that time. An enquiry alone does not necessarily confirm an appointment; check the date and time in the clinic's reply.
Bring your treatment and medication history
Make a note of previous procedures, the areas treated and approximate dates, current medicines and supplements, allergies, and any skin reactions that concerned you. Records or product photos can help if you do not know the exact names.
If you are considering filler, be sure to mention previous injections and relevant health history. The American Academy of Dermatology's filler preparation guide recommends sharing medical, medication, and supplement information. Do not stop prescribed medication on your own; ask your treating clinician first.

Check consultation, treatment, and recovery separately
Alongside “Can I have treatment on the consultation day?”, ask whether treatment is appropriate after assessment, how much time it may require, and what aftercare or follow-up is needed. Availability on a given day and suitability for your skin are different questions.
If you are travelling, discuss your onward journey, flight home, and how to contact the clinic afterwards. There is no universal “ready to travel immediately” rule for every procedure. Use the AAD's questions to ask before cosmetic treatment to discuss alternatives, risks, and recovery, then plan around your individual assessment.
For related concerns, read our double chin and skin laxity consultation guide or melasma and dark spots consultation guide.
Frequently asked questions
Can I enquire without choosing a procedure?
Yes—start by describing your concerns and goals. Whether to proceed, and which areas to treat, should be decided after consultation with a clinician.
Can I fit several procedures into a short trip?
Do not choose a combination only because you have an available time slot. Skin condition, the treatment plan, and your ability to follow aftercare need to be considered together. Discuss priorities if your stay is short.
When should I check language availability and the total cost?
Ask about your preferred language when enquiring. Before treatment, confirm the final plan, number of sessions, VAT treatment, and any additional charges. This article is not a price offer for a specific package.
